You can use the Foonf for a newborn infant ONLY if using it in combination with the Infant-thingy insert. The Infant-thingy allows both Clek convertible seats to be used from birth for children between 5 and 22 lb (2.3 - 10 kg) and 19 and 33 in. (48 - 85 cm).
It is very important that a proper recline angle be achieved for newborn infant without proper head control. A newborn infant sitting too upright could cause their head to slump forward restricting their ability to breathe.
