To increase the recline angle:
- Reposition the Foonf closer to the vehicle seat back, then press down in the back of the seat cushion area while tightening the vehicle or LATCH (UAS) belt.
- It may be necessary to place a rolled towel or pool noodle under the Foonf's base at the seat bight to achieve an acceptable recline level.
To decrease the recline angle:
- Reposition the Foonf further away from the vehicle seat back so that it is sitting more upright, then press down on the front edge of the seat cushion area while tightening the vehicle or LATCH (UAS) belt.
It is preferable to have infants under 22 lb more reclined, such that the upper reference line (infants under 22 lb) is parallel to the ground. However, providing that ground-level falls within the Upper Reference Line for infants under 22 lb (40 degrees from vertical) and lower reference line for children 22lb and over (30 degrees from vertical), you may safely use the seat.
