LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children), or UAS (Universal Anchorage System), refers to the pair of fixed lower anchors built into the crease between the seat back and seat cushion. If not readily visible, the LATCH (UAS) lower anchors may be noted by a symbol located near the crease between the seat back and seat cushion. For specific instructions and to determine which seating positions are approved for a LATCH (UAS) installation, please consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual.
All model year 2003 and later vehicles are equipped with a LATCH system unless otherwise specified.
